Nature Walk at Fowleys Falls

Near Rossinver in North Co Leitrim we found Fowleys Falls. Its a lovely river walk where the Glenanniff river comes down from the Dartry mountains above Rossinver towards Lough Melvin. On this journey the river has eroded the local blue limestone to form a deep river valley and this series of waterfalls.

In 2003 the Rossinver Community Development Company restored the walk & improved the parking and roadside pathway and they have made a lovely job, with picnic tables erected as well.

Its a real little hidden gem I think. My 4 year old thought it was very adventurous, I think because it seems so hidden, yet is an easy walk. You can then pop over to the Organic Centre which is very close or into Garrison which has a little playground by the lakes edge.
